Single and Multiple Implant Restorations

*ALL CASES SHOWN ARE DR. LUCAS’ WORK at Dental Innovations*

Dr. Lucas uses different implant systems and strategies to replace a single tooth or multiple teeth. Many implant solutions can be provided completely in house at Dental Innovations. For more complicated situations, Dr. Lucas maintains good relationships with Oral Surgeons in Wasilla, Eagle River, and Anchorage.

Single tooth implant restoration on the lower left first molar site

This patient had her lower left molar extracted elsewhere. Dr. Lucas placed an implant in that site. After the implant was integrated with her bone, Dr. Lucas restored the quadrant using a porcelain fused to metal crown on the implant. Simultaneously, a metal crown was used on the tooth behind the implant, and a tooth colored composite filling was used on the tooth forward to the implant to restore the entire quadrant. This patient says she is happy the implant option was available instead of a bridge.

Multiple implant restorations

This patient had solid front teeth on his upper arch. Unfortunately all his back teeth were either missing or hopeless. He did not want a partial or full denture. He was seeking other options.

After discussion with Dr. Lucas, he elected to have three implant restorations on both the upper right and upper left.

Dr. Lucas placed the implants and built the crown systems. This case was completed in house.

This patient is happy that he has solid chewing teeth in contrast to a partial denture or a denture.

Replacing a failing bridge with an implant

This patient had a failing bridge. Since this area had to be reconstructed, he was interested in alternatives to replacing this failing bridge with another bridge. After discussion with Dr. Lucas, he decided upon the use of an implant. Dr. Lucas placed the implant and reconstructed this area using a crown on the implant, a root canal treatment and crown on the tooth in front of the implant, and a crown on the tooth behind the implant. This patient now has the ability to floss, and is happier with three individual “teeth”, instead of three “teeth’ tied together. This project was done completely in house at Dental Innovations

providing a lower right molar with an implant.

This patient had a longstanding missing tooth on his lower right quadrant. He decided upon an implant to give him back his chewing capacity. Dr. Lucas placed the implant and then a gold crown on the implant. This patient can now use his right side to chew in addition to his left.
